The following quote is a semi-sequel to the previous quote about the sensor in my head. If I’m not careful, I can get into an argument that’s about to become far more heated than the actual argument that triggered it. I’m not talking about throwing temper tantrums here. I don’t throw any tantrums.

Really. If you ask me, my temper would be better off if I threw trash cans through walls and even though my kids would probably love me for it, I think they'd most likely be more traumatized than I was. The point is that when I get angry, my brain isn’t nearly as smart as it usually is, and there are certain things I might say or do in the moment of anger that come out of left field unexpectedly.

Obviously, that’s not what you want when you’re trying to procrastinate by arguing with someone who just wants to hear your side of the story.
